Vicki has worked within the education sector for over 15 years and has held senior leadership roles in schools. She has extensive experience in teaching Maths to students of all ages and has an outstading results rate from GCSE students. 

Vicki also runs the home education service, which offers education to students who are not currently in school. 

Sarah is a qualified primary school teacher, who has spent the past 12 years as a Headteacher and as an Assistant Headteacher for 3 years prior to this. Before stepping up to senior management, she taught for 9 years as a class teacher and has an in depth understanding of children's individual requirements.

Sarah's experience is extensive and broad and she cannot wait to support children on a 1:1 basis! She is able to offer tuition for children across all Key Stages and will offer lessons to students in the Selby (YO8) areas.

Adam is an enthusiastic and bubbly qualified primary teacher. Adam particularly enjoys teaching students who are in Key Stage 1, but is able to tutor across all Key Stages. He has held class teacher roles and is also a qualified nurse.

As a Headteacher with 40 years of educational experience, Jonathan has taught all subjects at primary level from Reception to Year 6 and been subject leader for Science, Mathematics, PE, RE, PSHE, as well as Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator.

Jonathan says:

In the last 16 years, I have performed Headteacher roles at The Archbishop of York’s CE Junior School, Bishopthorpe and more recently, at Naburn CE Primary School and Copmanthorpe Primary. I am currently teaching at a school in Leeds, having decided to move back to a non-leadership role. I am really looking forward to my role in providing one-to-one tuition.

There are many things that I enjoy doing outside school. I love sports and in particular, team sports. My favourite is cricket and I used to play regularly for Bolton Percy Cricket Club (near Tadcaster) where three generations of the my family has played/is still playing. I am a qualified cricket coach and get a tremendous amount of satisfaction talking ‘cricket’ to anyone who is prepared to listen to me!

I am also a football fan, supporting Sheffield Utd and have been a season ticket holder for a number of years… and yes, I have witnessed plenty of goals being scored against us last season!

Michael is a qualified and experienced Primary Teacher, who has experience teaching across all key stages. He has previously worked as a PE coordinator in a local school and prior to becoming a teacher, worked as a police officer.

Tracey is a qualified Primary Teacher, who has worked within the education sector for many years. Prior to embarking on her journey as a teacher, Tracey supported students who had additional learning needs within schools. 

Tracey is a compassionate, patient teacher, whose enthusiasm really shines!

Tracey offers face to face lessons within the Selby area and remote lessons for students who are not in our area. 

Having been a qualified Primary Teacher for over 10 years and holding a NPQML in Middle Leadership, Linzi brings a wealth of experience to our team. Linzi has experience teaching across all key stages and offers face-to-face tutoring for students in the Castleford and Pontefract areas

Tracy is a qualified and experienced Primary Teacher, who has over 30 years teaching experience. Tracy spent over 20 years teaching English at secondary level, before going on to a further specialism in Primary Teaching. She is highly experienced in teaching a range of stduents and is able to assist with teaching a variety of ages.

Tracy has worked both as a class teacher and as a tutor throughout her career and offers tuition to students in the Selby area.

Laura is a qualified primary school teacher, who has experience teaching across Key Stage 1 and 2. She has previously acted as a Science lead and has mentored student teachers. 

Laura is very bubbly, determined and encouraging of all students.

Sally is a qualified Primary Teacher with over 20 years teaching experience, in a wide range of settings. Sally offers face-to-face lessons to students in the Pontefract areas.

Rob is a qualified Science teacher, holding a degree in general Sciences and specialisation in Chemistry. He also holds a higher education certificate for Chemistry and an advanced certificate for supporting children with special educational needs.

Rob has extensive tutoring experience and a proven track record of fantastic GCSE results. His qualifications enable him to also teach Maths to students up to KS4. 

He offers face to face lessons in the Selby, Goole and Leeds areas. Rob also offers remote lessons to students who are out of area.

Lianne is an experienced teacher, who has over 15 years teaching experience. She holds a Master's Degree in Forensic Archaeology, together with a PGCE.

Lianne has held various posts, including leadership posts and she offers tuition across the Selby and Goole areas. 

Her experience and qualifications enable her to offer tuition in both Maths and Science and she is also able to offer tuition to students who are in Key Stage 2.

Dulcie is an experienced and qualified teacher of Chemistry, up to and including A level. She has over 25 years teaching experience in both schools and colleges. When not teaching, to aid her classroom delivery of concise information, she is also an examiner of Chemistry with many of the awarding bodies used by schools.

Imane is a qualified and experienced Science and Maths teacher, who will be offering online lessons for students.

Imane says:

Hi, I’m Imane! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Medical Physics from UCL. I'm a qualified teacher with a first in my PGCE, achieving the highest grade in my cohort. With over 10 years of experience, I’ve taught and tutored hundreds of students, all of whom have achieved a 100% pass rate.

I specialise in personalised Maths and Science tuition for students from Primary to Degree level. I also love supporting students with their personal statements and university applications, understanding how stressful that process can be. When it comes to teaching Maths and Science, I believe the best way to learn is through taught topics from myself and practising as many questions as possible, so students can learn from mistakes.

I believe that I have given my students the confidence to push themselves and realise that with time and patience, they can understand anything. I also make sure that I stay in regular contact with parents, providing feedback to ensure students receive support on both ends.

A bit about Ann-Marie:

I am from Ireland and have been living in the UK for 20 years now! I love imparting knowledge as a teacher but also as a mum! I find it so rewarding when somebody has understood a method I have used with them and prefers to use it in the future. I teach children, teenagers and adults mainly English (including English as a Foreign Language), Maths and Science. I can also teach French, Spanish and German up to GCSE level. 

Experience: 

I have 20 years teaching experience at Secondary school level teaching mainly English, including English as a Foreign Language, Maths, Spanish, German, and French. all up to GCSE level but I can teach Spanish up to A-level. Currently, I am teaching SEND children face-to-face, as well as teaching some lessons online.

Approach to teaching: 

I like to teach according to the needs of the student whatever their needs may be.  It is of vital importance for progression; to differentiate the activities to cater for their learning. I use visual aids, videos, podcasts and online exercises to help transfer knowledge whichever the pupil prefers. 

Anne-Marie will be offering face-to-face lessons within the Bradford/Leeds areas, as well as online lessons to students outside these areas.

As a qualified English teacher of over 10 years, Nicholas will be providing lessons to secondary students on a remote basis. Nicholas has experience of teaching across all exam boards and we feel his bubbly personality, will really inspire our students!

I have been a teacher of English Language and Literature for over ten years. During my tenure I have taught the British Curriculum at KS3-4. By extension, I am a seasoned tutor, where I have been online teaching for four years.

Education is first and foremost as my profession, but family, friends and watching the TV occupy my leisure time on weekends!

Having taught English for over twenty years and examined for multiple exam boards, Claire brings with her a vast range of experience. She offers in home tuition in Selby and York, together with remote lessons for students who are not in our areas.

Daniel has held a variety of roles teaching English and most recently, has been teaching in a school abroad. He has experience teaching primary, secondary and adult learners, together with previously being a director of studies in an international school. Daniel is also able to offer lessons up to KS4 for French.

As a qualified teacher, Sarah has been tutoring for over 30 years and teaching in schools for 20 years. Over that time, she has worked with all ages from age 3, to adult, on a variety of subjects. At GCSE and A Level, she specialises in Music, English and Business.
